SSC JE 2024 Recruitment
On February 29, 2024, the SSC is scheduled to announce the official notification for the hiring of junior employees (JE) under many government agencies in India. The official website, will accept online applications from candidates from February 29 to March 29, 2024.

The Staff Selection Commission has not yet made the number of openings for the Junior Engineer position public, however it is expected that there will be around 1000 positions available across the Government of India’s ministries. Eligibility
In order to apply online for the Junior Engineer position, a candidate must meet the age requirements of not being less than 18 and not older than 30 or 32, as well as having completed a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology degree in the relevant field from an accredited university. Note: The notification brochure, which SSC has not yet produced, will contain information on the age restriction and educational requirements specific to the Junior Engineer stream.
Exam Date
The Staff Selection Commission will formally publish the exam date for the Junior Engineer position. The exam will take place in June or July 2024 using computer-based testing, or CBT, and last for 120 minutes.

SSC JE Application Fee 2024
The application price for the Junior Engineer job is ₹100, which must be paid online using a designated payment option. However, applicants who are female and/or from Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, or Economically Weaker Sections are exempt from this charge.
SSC JE 2024 Selection Process

- General Awareness
- Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) OR Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) OR Part-B: General Engineering (Mechanical)
- Total Questions: 200
- Maximum Marks: 200
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Negative Marking: Ye, ¼ mark will be deducted for incorrect response.
Paper II Exam:
Subjects:-
- Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) OR Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) OR Part-B: General Engineering (Mechanical): 100 Questions,300 marks
- Total Questions: 100
- Maximum Marks: 300
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Negative Marking: For each incorrect response 1 mark will be deducted.
Following the preparation of the final selection list, candidates who pass the Paper I exam will be invited to the Paper II exam.
