SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern

The 30-minute Descriptive Test features a 50-point scoring system. The purpose of this test is to evaluate candidates’ writing abilities through the composition of letters and essays.

  • All the questions in the examination will be of objective nature.
  • There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong multiple choice question.
  • It is mandatory to solve descriptive paper of 50 marks.
  • This Mains paper will have four sections of total 200 marks and the duration of the main examination will be 3 hours.
  • There will be different timings for each section in the objective test.
  • There will be no sectional cutoff. There will be only overall cutoff.

  • This is the first round of SBI PO exam.
  • There will be 3 sections which will have to be completed in 20 minutes.
  • The total marks of SBI PO Prelims exam is 100 marks while the duration of the exam is 1 hour.
  • One (1) mark is given for each correct answer.
  • There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for a wrong answer.
  • All questions except English language will be asked bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.
